Faithworks Wessex offers support to older people across Poole by reconnecting them with their local community and helping them to maintain their independence.  We now need an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our Befriending Services Team to:

1. Recruit, train, support and monitor volunteers and those to whom they are matched

2. Identify and assess older people in Poole whose needs are not currently met by statutory services

3. Link older people with existing community services and activities and/or match them with a befriender

This is a 16 hours per week post but the hours will be flexible, including some evenings/weekends, and you will be required to travel across the Poole area so access to a car will be essential.

Salary for the post is £8.50 per hour (+5% pension contribution).
